FCC Chairman Ajit Pai thinks many of the smartphones sold in the U.S. should have their FM radios enabled for public safety and other reasons. He pointed out that only 44 percent of the top-selling smartphones in the United States have the FM chips activated compared to 80 percent in Mexico. The interesting news is he doesn't plan on trying to force companies to do what he thinks - quite refreshing.
He hopes the free market sorts things out. What do you think of Ajit Pai as a result of this news - do you like him more? Less? Do you think he should force companies to do what he thinks is in our best interests?
